Seasonal brides, go unconventional with your wedding dresses!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

He proposed to me, he proposed with a diamond ring. I started crying, he placed it on my finger and I said yes. Yes, Kelly Price it is. But then some of us have experienced this.

So, you found the perfect guy, your dream mate. Now, everyone around you (friends and family) is hearing wedding bells. You want the wedding bells too but the question is when. I read somewhere that there is a season for every bride and a bride for every season. So what do you want? A bright summer wedding, a fairytale while wedding, a bright spring wedding or a romantic fall wedding!

Each season brings its own hues, and women want to drape themselves in these hot colors and be one with nature. Let’s check out some hot and pretty dresses for brides for each season.

Summer wedding dresses

Hmmm….Summer…. Bright sun, warm breezes, Balmy evenings! A great time to wed. Summer brides have an array of colors to choose from, lemon, azure, cherry and of course, the traditional white. Get gowns with thin straps or in off shoulder style to set off your tan. Choose fabrics that are lightweight and sheer, such as organdy, linen, chiffon, crepe, georgette, and silk. Summer is the perfect time to wear short wedding dresses, especially if you wanna look hotter than the weather.

Spring wedding dresses

Spring heralds new beginnings. It’s a perfect time to step into a new life. Spring brides can look for pretty gowns in pink, lavender, light green, and soft yellow. The weather is perfect to bare a little skin. Go for long flowing skirts with sleeveless, strapless, spaghetti-strapped, or halter top style dresses. Wear a look that is prettier than the prettiest spring flower.

Autumn wedding dresses

Autumn is the new spring. Rich yellows, orange, copper, claret, and russet will look great on autumn brides. You can go for a strapless or full- sleeve gown.

Winter wedding dresses

A white wedding is a fairytale wedding. Warm up the atmosphere with your stunning bridal wear. No, you need not stick to the traditional white, invent your own personal style. Choose a gown in deep rich red or dark green. Dark hues will be a stark contrast to the snowy landscape. If you are not fond of bold colors, go for pale blue, lavender or even silver gowns. Design your wedding dress in rich satins and thick velvets with gold or silver embroidery. Fur trim on sleeves and neckline, long trains, opera length gloves, options are many for the winter bride.

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

Want your fall wardrobe to be as hot as all the great looks shown at the New York Fashion Week? Then stick to tons of color, plenty of texture, and sleek silhouettes.

Go Skinny

If you haven’t done the skinny pants thing, don’t put it off any longer! This trend is still going strong with designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Narciso Rodriguez and Ralph Lauren using it to perfection. A skinny pant can be used to create entirely different looks, from cool and casual to sleek and sophisticated to upscale, high-fashion. Just mix and match it with other textures for a really eye-catching outfit.

Be Bold

Another great trend from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Show was the fabulous use of bold colors by Tommy Hilfiger, Tadashi Shoji and Max Azria, to name just a few. Give it a shot! Pair a brightly colored top with a toned down bottom to keep the look stylish but not overwhelming. The key here is to use solids.
